Thank you for choosing the Dee Why Hotel Andrew! Stopped by this venue for lunch, and the venue was not busy at all. Both with a side of chips. Chips were cold when the meals arrived, and both burgers had far too much coriander on them.
Disgusting and unacceptable. Won't be recommending or returning to this venue again. Will note that the guy and girl on the counter, who took the burger back, were very apologetic, and offered to refund the burger straight away however, the chef made no effort to acknowledge nor apologise for his lack of cooking skills, when he was shown the raw burger. I have always loved Dee Why Hotel - my fav pub in NB however it would be great to have the service team know its customers too.
I have been coming here for years and the old staff were really great where they can even remember me and what I drink! For me that is outstanding service and staff making connections to customers. They were pretty friendly too - like even when I walk past them on a street they will smile and remember me. Some of the new staff aren't that friendly or accommodating - a smile will always brighten up a person's day. Hi Ivy! We greatly appreciate your choosing the Dee Why Hotel over the years.

Food servings reasonably generous. Steaks were a little overcooked and one a bit sinewy. We got them very promptly after we asked.
