Who is guruji maharaj

According to the book Pyaare Guruji , [1] Guruji displayed a spiritual inclination from a young age and began displaying supernatural powers as a student. According to the website, GurujiSangat. It is said that as word spread about the miracles he performed, people from across India and other countries began coming to seek his blessings. It has been narrated by several close disciples of his that he could intuit the thoughts of those who came to seek his blessings. All his followers recall him saying that they should not ask for anything from him and instead surrender and believe unconditionally in divine grace.

Another website created and maintained by his followers, GurujiMaharaj. Guruji instructed his disciples to listen to Shabads [7] hymns in Punjabi and Hindi , Sachi Banis devotional songs dedicated to Sikh gurus , and gurbani from the Guru Granth Sahib.

Pyaare Guruji [1] states that the Shabads emphasize the importance of ardas prayer with humble request to God , love and devotion of Guruji, contemplation of the shabads, concentration, and shukrana gratitude. His disciples recall him asking them to leave their ego with their shoes outside the door of the temple. His disciples said they would be overjoyed when he said "Kalyan Karta" which meant he had blessed them.

According to Pyaare Guruji [1] , Guruji often said "If you cannot help anyone, at least do not harm anyone. Unlike many Gurus, Guruji refused to deliver any pravachans religious sermons or prescribe any elaborate rituals. He encouraged practical learning and asked his followers to develop a direct connection with him through meditation and prayer.

His followers claim that he continues to bless the langar prasad communal meal , chai prasad tea offerings and jal prasad water offerings prepared and served in front of his photo. Guruji told his followers: "Mandir main Khaya to Davai aur bahar khaya to Mithai hai" If you eat in the temple, it is healing medicine and if you eat outside, it is just sweets.

His emphasized the importance of cleanliness and discipline at all times. Rai started with Rs 24 lakh as her first investment in September and kept on arranging money till late as and when the Wadhwa family demanded it.

In a Satsang, he called Rai on the stage and said that since his own mother had passed away, he wanted Rai to accept him as her son in front of a lot of devotees of Guruji.

Manu even started getting a Rakhi tied from her daughters. According to her, she has paid 5. They were once again able to convince Rai not to withdraw the principal amount.

However, in late , when she was under pressure from the banks and friends to repay their loan amount, she started demanding the principal amount to be returned to her. She realised that they tried to avoid her by making one excuse or the other. They even stopped paying her the interest eventually. Soon after that Rai realised she had fallen victim to fraud and lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police.

After Rai's complaint, the EoW learnt that the Wadhwa family had defrauded many more people in the same Satsang. We had become attached to him. In the blink of an eye, his body was gone. He drew the curtains on the role he chose to play. For he was an avatar, a descent of divinity into flesh. He was Shiva, Nanak, and love incarnate. His Maya was powerful. With his charm behest, we saw him as a body and as a person.

He is Ekonkar and remains. He remains as Our Holy Father and us. It is true that by merely listening to the Guru- one becomes enlightened. Guruji's schoolmates recall his famous feat of filling empty inkpots by just touching them with his finger.

Once during an examination a classmate asked Guruji for some ink for his pen and Guruji just touched it with his finger to fill it up! He took great pains to suppress his supernatural powers in front of others and appear normal.

But often would leave his teachers perplexed by his sudden disappearance from the classroom seat and be back the next moment! His classmates remember him knowing all the questions of the paper beforehand! Guruji studied on only to fulfill the wishes of his father, who like any normal father wanted his son to get a MA degree. Guruji finally did a double MA. His father recalls that his young son would often help him till the fields and the crop yield would turn out to be many times more than that of others in the area!

By this time his parents realised that their son was no ordinary person but God himself. Even His mother started touching his feet and calling him 'Guruji', as he was now called by everyone. After some time he left home to fulfill his spiritual journey in this world. He would often appear in the house of one of his acquaintances -- stay for a few days and then move off -- to where ever he felt and even disappear for days at a stretch. No matter where he stayed people thronged to him for deliverance from disease or any other problem they had.

Soon the news of his powers spread all across Punjab and people sought him out no matter where he was.
