Why are falmer so hard

I always go in with my Ancient Shrouded Armor. Seriously though, they're just tough. I was having the same problem until I recruited a follower, learned to hide behind a walking glacier and other pro Dragonborn tactics. I can just picture the heroic songs they will sing in my honor.

Never had a problem with Falmer though. I once got that as my first job for the Companions. After several tries and painful, frustrating deaths more than one of which was caused by Lydia blocking my path while I was being eaten by those damn bugs , I reloaded a save from before I ever walked into Jorrvaskr.

Went on with other stuff and then went back and did the Companions quests at a somewhat higher level, but you know they've never sent me to Shimmermist Cave again.

I still shudder involuntarily when I hear the name though. I have had to run all the way back to the beginning of the dungeon half a dozen times to avoid getting set on by Silver Hand in groups of two and three because she takes a knee after about 1. Conventional wisdom seems to be that you should do the Companions stuff early on because temporary followers like Aela and Farkas are usually locked into such a low level from having run into them outside Whiterun the first time you go there.

Most of the complaints in that regard seem to be about Farkas on Proving Honor, but you know, he and I made a great team. I find it best if you use conjure spells to slow them down but not familiars because they are weak and if you kill one then if you have reminate corpse and bring it back to life and they normaly kill the living ones and if they don't then by the time your zombie is killed you will have enough magika to summon another creature to fight for you and that should probably do the trick but if you are not very good at being a mage then don't use this method!

ShadowGambit Active Member. Bound Bow with Mystic Binding works pretty well for me. Level 80 in archery. Well, Shock spells are good against their chaurus buddies. Dagmar Defender of the Bunnies of Skyrim. So they can only detect you by the noise you make. Muffle enchantment or spell will work wonder here. Also, for the choice of weapon, I would choose the bow or the dagger because both are "silent". Frenzy is fun to watch though. Yes they are blind but sadly they can still somehow see you it may just be that they have developed senses to find you so in a way it is not a weakness.

They have little claws on their front legs ehich they use to attack you. They can either use one of them to hit you, or perform some kind of dual attack where they hit you with both front legs.

These two attacks don't deal poison damage. Then they have the spit of poison that you mentioned, which deals poison damage, a standing poison injection, which deals poison damage, and a jumping poison injection and front legs attack. The last one also deals poison damage and is by far the deadliest Frostbite Spider attack. Just popped back to this thread, thanks for the help everybody! I really should increase my Smithing skills, since I only use the Steel due to it being Superior rank-thing and doing more damage than the Dwarven one I found lying around in a chest.

I did manage to get past them without it, but once I head back to a smithing spot I'll work on that Swarven thing. Malvastor View Profile View Posts. Originally posted by Malvastor :. I am level 75 at the moment. Falmer are hard on Legendary mode. Best advice I can give is to keep your guard up and make every swing or shot count.
